Hi, my name is Sandra Summers. I’m a working Wife, Mom, Grandma, and of course a woman.
So often, we get caught up with trying to get things done, we forget to take care of our selves.
Just remembering to take my vitamins, or even to eat breakfast, is rare. I live on coffee, of course I remember the creamer and sugar, LOL.
I work as a Registered Nurse for a VA nursing home, where I work in a COVID unit, and I’m an RN Case Manager for a local Hospice. My patients become part of my family, so when one dies, it is hard. I remind myself that I’m there to help them have a better quality of life. Not always easy, especially in these COVID times.
When COVID first hit, people would say to me, “Thank you for your service”. Now, people seem to treat me as if I have a virus. Along with other issues of the job, nursing isn’t easy, but I feel what I do is critically important and I’m glad I can make a difference.
My most important job is my family. Spending quality time with my family is so important. This is me and my grandson Chase. As a working woman, this is so hard to do but so important for the kids as they grow. Spend time making or at least decorating cookies. I don’t find time to cook them anymore but we can still decorate them. LOL
People ask why I sell Avon, well it’s a “Means to an End” so to speak. Besides loving Avon’s products for my personal use, I sell online in hopes of my business will grow, and maybe I can cut back on working outside the home, so I can be there for my family more.
I hang books on the back of my car, when I’m at work, the store, and even at home. So people will know I sell Avon and they can order if they need anything. I don’t have time to pass books out or go talk to people about my great products. So instead I have my blog, to let people know more about me 🙂
